Welcome back. As we begin on another brand new year of softball, we start with a celebration. This Sunday we will be honoring our Seniors and those who are going on to play college softball. The celebration will begin at 2PM at the new Sugar Land Recreation Center in the Multi Purpose Room- cake and drinks will be provided. It will be a time to share stories, remember hard work, and genuinely congratulate our players' hard work.
At 1PM, before the celebration, the Gold Team will be taking media head shots in our Purple Jersey with a white undershirt. Players will also fill out their media profiles.
Directly following the celebration will be a parent meeting. We will be discussing team finances, fundraising, the Summer schedule, and team rules. Since the Texans lost, there's no reason not to be present :) Every family needs to be represented.
There will be NO Practice following the celebration & meeting. We look forward to seeing you there.
The Goldies finished the Fall season on a strong note going 4-0-1 this past weekend in Plano. The team showed resolve and character as we steadily improved week by week. We are really proud of each young lady's hard work. I'm sure the upcoming break will be well received by everyone, though :)
On another positive note, Senior pitcher Karen Kubacak has committed to play softball and attend LeTourneau University. On behalf of the coaches and parents I wish to congratulate her for all her hard work in the classroom and on the diamond. Go Yellowjackets!
We will be conducting mandatory end of season interviews this Sunday at my office. The interviews begin at 1:00PM and should run no more than 10min per player. We have divided the interviews by class- which is posted on our FB Group page.
JR Team
Last weekend proved to be more of a war zone than a softball tournament as multiple player suffered injuries that left the squad short handed. The amazing thing about the ordeal is that the team rallied around those injured players and achieved a 4th place finish! That is a fantastic display of character and getting the job done amidst adversity. Way to go ladies and a quick recovery to Sydney, Helena, Kelli, and Heather.
The 14U Stealth team placed third place in Baytown this past weekend. Hitting was not a problem for the girls, as the offensive production was outstanding. Being their first official tournament as a Stealth team makes this achievement impressive. Congratulations, Ladies... Well done.

Four Stealth players were honored in this year's All-District 23-5A selections. Elise Dillow and Christina Eberhard were selected first team All-District and Victoria Lumbreras was selected second team All-District. All three play on the Stealth Gold. Leah Dillow was recognized as an Honorable Mention with an 8-1 district record in the circle. Leah plays for the Stealth 14U team.
We would like to offer our congratulations to these and all players who go out and give their all during their high school seasons.
Congratulations to Stealth Gold pitcher/OF Megan Lamb who has been selected to play in the 2nd Annual Houston Area High School All-Star softball game. She will be joining Stealth Gold team mate Elise Dillow on the South squad. The game will be held at Cougar Stadium on the campus of the University of Houston on Wednesday, June 15th. Stealth Gold peer, Laura Martinez was also selected to the West squad which will hold their game Tuesday, June 14th.
Congratulations to Stealth Gold players Elise Dillow and Laura Martinez on their selection to the 2nd Annual Houston Area High School All-Star Softball Game. The game is comprised of top players in the Greater Houston area as selected by the game committee. Players were nominated by their prospective high school coaches. It is an honor to have two players from Stealth Gold representing their families, their team and their high school.

The SOUTH vs EAST game will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the University of Houston Cougar Softball Stadium at 6:30 pm. Pool Schedule
9:00 AM vs Young Ones on Fld 3
10:30AM vs Magic on Fld 4
We would also like to recognize Leah Dillow (Dulles HS) on her win against first place Kempner last Saturday. Without having her best stuff she pitched out of some bases loaded jams to edge the Cougars 5-4.
Shout out also to Blake Adams for scoring the game tying and winning run against Clements HS last night. Austin trailed by 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th and rallied to tie with Blake getting that rally started. Adams led off the 8th by getting on base vis hit by pitch and scored with two outs on a Ranger error.
After a successful tournament put on by our Gold team this past weekend and a successful showing in our first tournament of the Spring (2-2) we will be taking this week off. No practice this Thursday or Sunday so enjoy your Spring Break and we'll see you next Thursday, Mar 24.
We have two new players to introduce. First, Stealth Gold will be adding Lerin Willis to the team. Lerin is a junior at Katy High school who will be playing outfield and some infield for us. She is an excellent student, a coachable player, and a great young lady to be around. We look forward to welcoming her to the team.
I'd also like to welcome Meagan Crosby to the 14U team. She is a catcher and infielder who is also going to be the baby of the squad as our only first year player. Meagan is a bright young lady who works hard and is eager to learn- she should have no problem fitting in with Stealth.
We are excited about our new additions and look forward to getting into full gear later this Spring.
Stealth 14U will be holding tryouts to fill at least 1 more spot on our roster. We are looking for someone with experience who has a coachable spirit. If you or your child is interested, please visit our TRYOUTS page and fill out the form.
After a long and much needed winter break, the 14U Stealth began the 2011 season in large fashion by both hosting and playing in the Pre Valentines Day Round Robin in Sugar Land.
Being the first time the girls have been together in 2 months, our expectations were just to go out and have fun. But instead they decided to play some real softball and looked great. Iliana and Meredith took the circle in the two games with neither giving up an earned run. Our catchers threw out 3 would be stealers and allowed zero passed balls. Offensively and defensively we looked pretty good once we shook off the winter rust.
We would like to thank the 3 pick up players that allowed us to play- Celeste, Alexis, and Meagan. All in all it was a great day at the ballpark- the weather was absolutely beautiful, we got to play softball, and fourteen teams participated in a successful start to the 2011 season.
The JR squad completed their fall season with another tournament championship as they went 4-0 against some very good competition. The tournament sweep marks the 7th game in a row won by Stealth. In fact, the last game lost was way back in October in the fifth round of the Ronald McDonald tournament. The girls finished the fall playing 6 tournaments- Undefeated in a Round Robin, 2- 1st Place finishes and 1- 2nd Place finish.
A major key to the strong finish has been stellar pitching and defense. We saw routine play after play made with some spectacular efforts peppered throughout which allowed very few runs. The team ERA finished at a very respectable 2.35 with the trio striking out 102 (1.15/inning) while walking only 41 in 89 innings of work.
Not to be overlooked, the offensive production has been the best thus far for the 14U Stealth. It was a record setting season for Batting Average (.353), Slugging % (.471), runs per game (3.8), and hits per game (5.8). This season we also saw our first .500+ hitter with Jamie Jelinek batting an amazing .513 and from the right side!
The coaches are very proud of the girls for all their hard work and being coachable- it obviously paid off. We will be taking 4 weeks off and reconvening in January to see where things are at that point. Everyone have a great holiday and we'll see you next year.
The JR team hits the diamond one last time before taking our winter break. Our pool schedule is as follows:
Fri Dec 3 at 6:20pm vs SL Smash on Fld 3
Fri Dec 3 at 9:40pm vs Texas Cobras on Fld 3
I looks like it's going to be a late night! All games will be 90 minutes and with a 5 game guarantee we should get plenty of playing time. See you Friday- Go Stealth!
The JR team took the first place trophy this past weekend in the Sugar Land Stealth Gold Turkey Trot 16/18U division. The girls played very solid defense behind outstanding pitching by Leah Dillow (2-0) and Meredith Miller (1-0). Timely hitting was provided by a number of players who refused to quit amidst a grueling 10 hour day.
The girls took on the 14U Texas Lady Cats in our first bracket game and pulled it out in dramatic fashion with a come from behind victory in the last inning. In the semi finals, we faced the 16U Baytown Stampede and cruised to a 2-0 victory behind Miller's shutout performance. The championship was a hard fought battle against the 16U Texas Threat that showed the girls come back from a 3-0 deficit. With the game tied at the end of regulation Stealth scored 1 in ITB while holding the Threat scoreless in the frame. The victory marks the first tournament championship in the short JR team history.
Congratulations to the girls- we are very proud of you!
The Gold team will be playing in it's final tournament of the fall at the Elite Showcase in Plano, Tx. Our schedule for the weekend is:

11:00am vs Tx Trouble Goode at Heritage Yards 5
8:00pm vs Tulsa Fire at Heritage Yard 1
Sun
8:00am vs The Corps at Gabe Nesbitt 1
11:00am vs Tx Spirit at Gabe Nesbitt 1
The JR team played yesterday in Sugar Land to a 2-0-1 record. The girls looked brilliant at the plate with their best hitting performance of the fall. Pitching was very good also but with too many walks. The team got to share Blake Adams with the gold team and got to witness her first home run! Blake will be playing this weekend with the Gold team and then finish out the fall with the JR team. There are no tournaments scheduled for this weekend.
This past weekend the Gold team played in the 3rd Annual College Classic Gold Showcase going 2-4 against some good competition. The team is showing flashes of brilliance but we're still suffering from too many mental lapses. The highlight of the weekend had to be our pitching allowing only 8 earned runs in 6 games led by senior, Tanya Carlson who held Alvin College and Texas Aces Express to 1 earned run each. The ladies finally displayed some power with 3 homeruns, 2 against Alvin College (Eberhard & Dillow) and another against Magic (Dillow). Defense and baserunning will be our main focus as we get ready for the Elite Showcase in Plano next weekend.
The Gold team will be taking our A game to Plano this weekend for the Elite Diamond Showcase. Here is the schedule:
Sat 12:30PM vs FW Batbusters- Edwards on Fld CR1
Sat 5:00PM vs Texas Royals on Fld HY9

The JR team will be playing in Sugar Land in the Texas Magic tournament. Pool schedule:
8:00AM vs Mojo on Fld 3
9:10AM vs Impact 97 on Fld 3
Hats off to our JR squad as they overcame multiple injuries and homecoming to earn a third place finish last weekend. This is even more impressive as it was our first time to play since July. The team was lead in the circle by Meredith Miller and Iliana Barron who each allowed only 1 earned run with Miller striking out 10 in 7 innings of work. Offensively Amanda Guerra and Courtney White combined for 8 hits and a .600 and .556 batting average respectively. Our young ladies played extremely well after a rocky start and show the makings of a top notch team.
This weekend the Stealth will be well represented at the Sugar Land College Classic. The Gold team will be playing 6 games Saturday and Sunday while the JR squad will be volunteering. It should be a busy but great weekend. Here is the Gold Schedule:
Sat
8:00AM vs MC Elite on Fld 8
10:00AM vs Hit-A-Way on Fld 8
2:00PM vs Alvin College on Fld 7
6:00PM vs Sudden Impact on Fld 4
Sun
8:00AM vs Magic on Fld 4
12:00PM vs Texas Aces Express on Fld 2
All Stealth parents received an email with an order form. If you want Stealth warm ups you need to order by this Sunday.
Stealth Gold opened it's Fall Season this past weekend at the ESPN Premier Showcase in Spring, TX. We showed pretty well going 4-1 against decent competition- which is a bright spot considering it's our first outing. In the circle, Tanya Carlson led the way allowing no earned runs in 5 innings and recording 4 strikeouts. Megan Lamb also looked sharp in 5 innings of work allowing only 1 earned run. Our offense was lead by Laura Martinez (7 for 12; 4R), Christina Eberhard (7 for 13; 4R; 3RBI); Elise Dillow (5 for 11; 2R; 2RBI; 2B), Blake Adams (4 for 9; 3RBI). and Katy Rothfelder (4 for 9; 4RBI). Defensively as a team we looked a little shaky at times allowing 8 unearned runs which absolutely will be improved. All in all it was a great weekend for the ladies, who played together for the first time. This year's squad has a very good team chemistry and we look forward to improving week by week.
Well, we just seem to be snake-bit when it comes to hosting tournaments. Our Fall Frenzy was cancelled due to a ridiculous amount of rain that flooded the fields- from the same front that only watered my lawn to the tune of 3/4 in... and I live less than two miles from the field! Be that as it may, I know that our girls really were chopping at the bit to play their first games- which will have to be next weekend in Sugar Land (weather permitting) at the George Ranch tourney.
Excitement is in the air- along with lower temperatures which only means one thing... Softball! Both teams officially open the Fall Tournament Season this weekend. The Gold team will be playing in the ESPN Premier Showcase in Spring on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The JR team will be both hosting the Fall Frenzy Round Robin this Sunday and playing 4 games in the tourney. We are all excited and ready to get to playing. Both schedules are posted on our schedule page.
We are also excited to welcome aboard new Stealth players to the JR squad. Jamie Jelinek, Eva Guerra, and Sydney Bourgeois will be playing their first games with the Purple. We'd also like to welcome back Amber Brasseaux after her season hiatus. We feel like we've assembled a very talented group of young ladies and look forward to seeing this team climb the ranks.
After 2 open tryouts with some very talented young ladies, Stealth Gold has officially completed our roster. We have added 5 new players: Karen Kubacak, Megan Lamb, Katy Rothfelder, Casey Sax and Blake Adams. Practice began yesterday and although there was quite a bit of rust, I am truly excited about this team. Defensively we will be as strong as ever adding Casey, Katy, and Blake to an already experienced infield. In the outfield Megan, Karen and Blake will be working with Laura, Christina, and Alex. In the circle returning pitchers Murphy and Tanya will be joined by Karen and Megan. You can learn more about our players on our roster page.
Jr Stealth will start practice this Wednesday at 7pm. The team roster is almost completed- we will post it when completed.
We have added an alternate date for tryouts:
To register please go to: Tryouts
It's time to get ready for an amazing Fall season. Both teams will be holding open tryouts on Sunday, August 22nd at Imperial Park: Field 7. The 14U team tryout will start at 1PM and the Gold tryout will be held at 3PM. We are looking for impact players that understand the team concept. If you or someone you know is interested, have them contact any of the coaches or sign up here.
This past summer season for both teams was amazing. In our first season of Gold ball, Stealth amassed a 27-9 record overall and 8-5 in Gold Qualifiers. The Jr squad finished the season very strongly by placing 2nd in Tomball and then 9th at USFA Nationals in Panama City Beach.
With the fall season approaching, we are sad to say goodbye to Kelly Flinn and Brandi Yates as they take their softball careers into the college ranks. On behalf of all the coaches and parents in the Stealth organization, we are very proud of you and wish you guys the best!
The 18U team played in the Rebels Round Robin at Bayland Park. The bats and pitching started off slow losing 9-2 in the 9am opener but once the girls woke up, play was much more Stealth like. The ladies amassed 37 runs in their last four games while allowing 13 runs. Homeruns for the weekend were hit by Holly and Kelly and a ton of other extra base hits raised the team batting average to an amazing .392. All 3 pitchers put together excellent performances in each of the last 3 games allowing only 3 runs total.
Stealth 18U will be in Beaumont this weekend playing in the Region 7 Gold Qualifier. Our opener will be against Batbusters Brann Friday night at 7pm on Field F. The tournament will be held at Beaumont City Athletic Complex on College St (Hwy 90) and Langham Rd. Weekend pass fees are $12 for adults and $8 for Seniors and Youth.

Our younger girls played like champs this past weekend earning a second place finish in the MC Elite Tournament in Tomball. Pitching and defense was stellar allowing only 2 earned runs in the 5 bracket games and 6 runs total. Offensive output was a little slow but efficient with the girls executing their bunting better than they have all season. Timely hitting, passed balls, and errors allowed us to push 19 runs across the plate. The weekend saw the girls get their first hardware as Stealth players and we couldn't be more proud of them.
Stealth Jr will be traveling to Panama City this weekend for Nationals as festivities and games begin on Monday. The momentum from our last tournament should give us a huge boost of confidence playing in Florida next week- which should be fun.
It was a very tough decision but due to all the inclement weather in Oklahoma City and the forecast of 6+ inches expected between now and Friday, plus the possibility of limiting games to 1hr and making the tourney single elimination, we have decided to cancel the trip. Instead we will be playing at Bayland Park in the Rebels Tournament. Details will be posted as we get them.
Round Robin Schedule
Sat 9AM vs No Fear Gold on Fld 1
Sat 10:45AM vs Magic Gold on Fld 2
Sat 4:00PM vs Force on Fld 1
Sun 10:45AM vs RBI on Fld M3
Sun 12:30PM vs Rebels on Fld 1
The Jr team will be in Tomball with Friday night pool games at 7:30 on f4 and 8:30 on f1.
Stealth 18U played this past weekend in Round Rock for the Elite Capital Exposure tournament and went 4-1 against some pretty good competition. Offensively, the girls were led by Kelly Flinn and Christina Eberhard as the team averaged over 5 runs a game. Tanya Carlson went 2-1 on the weekend pitching three solid games for the squad. This weekend the girls will be in San Antonio playing in the Region 7 Gold qualifier as they continue their run at acquiring their true gold status. Stealth opens up Friday against Hit Away Gold at 6PM.
The JR team also held their own this past weekend in Conroe, as they continued gaining points toward USFA Nationals. They went 1-1 in pool play and 2-2 in bracket play only to start fading due to six games in one day in 97+ heat. The team was happy to welcome back Taylor Fontenot after a month off due to injury. They will have this next weekend off.
The 18U Stealth would also like to welcome our newest addition- Chelsea Benda. Chelsea has moved down from Tennessee where she played 6 years of travel ball. She will be helping out in the infield and at the plate as well as in the circle. Chelsea will be attending Travis High School as a sophomore this fall.
The 18U Stealth clinched tournament champion at the Stars Over Texas in Beaumont last weekend going 5-0 against some very good competition. The day started early with an 8:00am game against the Texas Stix. With their bats still asleep, the girls edged a 2-0 victory behind great pitching from Tanya Carlson who registered 10 strike outs in six innings of work. Game two was against a very formidable LA United Gold team in which the Stealth bats woke up to a 13 run explosion. Pitcher Kelly Flinn held the United to 1 unearned run.
The big test of the day was against Orange Crush Gold in a 8-7 come from behind victory with a walk off deep fly ball from Brandi Yates which scored Dillow from third. Murphy Schlicher kept her composure amidst poor defensive play to notch the victory. In the semi-final, the girls kept their momentum onto a 10-2 victory against Texas Trouble with Carlson collecting the win. The championship game was against Scrap Metal- a team of college players. In a rain shortened game, Stealth prevailed in the 3-1 contest with another fine pitching performance from Flinn.
Overall it was a great weekend for the girls which had a so so day of pool play Saturday going 1-2. "We had 5 girls who took the SAT that morning and then had to drive to Beaumont, walk up and play in the second game of the day." declared coach Ray Aguilar. Fortunately, there was help in the form of three 14U players from the JR Stealth team- Leah Dillow, Amanda Guerra and Melanie Hinojosa- who all showed very well.
With the weekend behind them, the 18U Stealth will start preparation for the ASA Region 7 Gold Qualifier which begins this Friday at 1pm against Team Florida. The 14U Stealth will also take the week to prepare for the USFA State tournament in Beaumont.
We will be playing a Sunday Only Round Robin in Humble. There will be 4 90 minute games so we should get plenty of playing time. Be prepared for some warm weather and we'll see you Sunday.

With the high school season finishing up this week, playoffs will be starting up soon. Terry will push its way into this year's post season with the help of Brandi and Laura. Travis and the Aguilar girls are still an unknown as they are tied with Austin for fourth place in 23-5A. It is a privilege to be able to practice and play at such a nice facility. Every so often we will give back and have work days to show the Stealth's appreciation. Yesterday was Stealth dad's work day at the fields. We took care of hanging rubber backstop mats, spreading conditioner on the fields and putting up a new windscreen on Field 7 (which looks amazing). I want to thank all the dad's that showed up and worked hard: Ray Aguilar, Baldemar Barron, Nick Adams, Tim Daly, Coach Gale Dillow and Coach Freddy Hinojosa. Also a big thank you to Coach Lee Carlisle, Coach Mark Hudec, Scott White, Coach Gale Dillow and Stealth player Elise Dillow for helping out last Wednesday. We were able to finish all the chores Randy had for us!
We are both hosting and playing in our March Madness Round Robin this weekend. The weather should be great! Everyone should be signed up for their shifts- if you are unsure, please contact Melinda White who is coordinating.
We will be wearing our Purple jerseys. Here is the game schedule:

She will be sharing catching duties with Marie and working in both the infield and outfield. We now only have 1 more spot to fill before our roster is complete. If you know of anyone interested and can help improve our roster, please either have them call coach Freddy or use the contact form to the left.
The Jr Team will be playing this weekend in our first tournament of the season. I know it's still early, but I'm confident that our girls will respond sooner than later. Team practice will be this Wednesday as usual.
Pool Schedule
Sat 8:00AM vs TX Shockwave-Blue on Fld1

In other news, the Jr team voted for team captains and I am pleased to announce that Blake and Marie will be leading our team this summer. Congratulations to both the captains and I'm proud of all of the girls for being thoughtful and mature about this necessary process.
And as you have obviously noticed, the Stealth website has been revamped. One of the new features is the Wall which allows us to communicate with each other (much like Facebook) by leaving comments, photos, videos and more. To use this new Site Members feature, you will need to sign up by clicking the sign up button to the right. There are other things in development for the site but for now we're good to go.
Stealth shortstop and Terry High School senior, Brandi Yates signed with Navarro College Sunday, January 17th at the place where she spent the last few years honing her skills- Imperial Park (home of SLGSA). Family, friends and team mates witnessed the first Stealth player to both commit and sign with a college to play softball. Brandi began her softball career at Rose-Rich and migrated (or should we say was recruited by Coach Lee) over to SLGSA in 2006 where she played league ball and earned a trip to Nationals in Colorado as the Stingrays All Star team third baseman. She joined the Stealth in the fall of 2007 (our inaugural season) as our second baseman and earned a trip to Southern Nationals in Florida.
Brandi is presently a senior at Terry High School, where she is a four year letterman for the Rangers varsity squad and the starting shortstop for the Stealth. She is set to begin her college career in the Fall of 2010.

We were led offensively by outfielder Jessica Slater and 3rd baseman Holly Hinojosa who amassed 14 hits between them, five of them for extra bases. Pitching was stellar only allowing 3 earned runs all weekend and highlighted by a perfect game by Murphy Schlicher. Defensive play was solid led by Senior Brandi Yates at shortstop.

We will be practicing as usual on Wed Fld 6.

Our Jr team went 2-2 in our first bracketed tournament losing only to a soon to be 16U team. Our girls battled courageously but just ran out of gas (getting home at 11:45pm and having to be right back at the fields the next morning at 7am tends to do that to you :). Again, we have a busy weekend ahead of us...
The Ronald McDonald Tournament schedule is posted on the schedule page along with a map to Bayer Park and the attending coaches list. Be sure to get busy writing your hopeful coaches letting them know where and when we play- there are 5 different complexes!

Stealth JR played our first tournament ever last weekend and I have to say, we did just fine. The day started off rough but every game of the four game round robin, we showed improvement. We ended the day 2 and 2 playing a very good Crush team to close the day. You can check out the new JR stats page in the nav dropdown. Way to go girls!

We also would like to announce that the Stealth Jr team too is officially sanctioned. Lee, Mark, Gale and I would like to thank the board for approving both teams and for all their hard work. We should be getting our practice schedule soon- we'll keep you posted.
By now you should be writing letters to colleges and letting them know when and where we will be playing this fall. Recruiting doesn't happen by chance- start working hard to get your name out there.
We will be taking Media Photos this week for both teams.
Stealth & Jr: Thursday 6:45-7PM before practice : Purple Jersey. Jr's- Jersey will be supplied- please wear black underarmour
Instead of practicing Sunday the older girls played in a 4 game RR in Sugar Land against some pretty good competition. We ended up 2-2 on the day and showed improvement in the last game coming back from a 4-1 deficit. Our top hitter was Elise Dillow who went 5 for 8 on the day with 2 doubles, 1 triple and 4RBI. Aly Hudec and Jess Slater also had good days at the plate going 3-5 (3RBI) and 4-7 (4Runs) respectively. Pitching and defense were a little rusty but that was expected. We will resume practice this Thursday as usual.
We will be playing in a Round Robin this Sunday. We will be wearing Black jerseys, White belt, White pants & Black socks. The schedule has been posted on the schedule page. I still have not received everyone's bio and profile info- please turn in by Friday. Finally, we will be taking our media shots before practice on Thursday, Sept 3rd. Please wear your purple jersey.
We will be practicing Wed at Dulles at 6:30pm and will be off Sunday. The coaching staff would like to encourage the girls to support the 18U team in Sugar Land. It will be a great opportunity for them to get to know the older girls and see what we are possibly striving toward. We will be taking our media shots for the website next week before practice.
Welcome back everyone. First, let me announce that there is now a 14UStealth. In the next few weeks we will be integrating them into the site. You can see who's presently on the team by clicking the roster button in the nav.
18U Tryouts
We will be holding open tryouts on Thursday, August 27th at Imperial Park on Field 9. We have 2 spots to fill and are looking for position players, preferably infielders. So bring your A game and we'll see you next Thursday.
Stealth Players & Parents
I have created individual player profile pages. Please take a minute to look at yours and make sure all the info is both accurate and complete. I will be contacting a company to do videos for any of you who are interested. Please let me know ASAP- maybe we can get a discount if we have multiple videos. Finally, I will be emailing a bio idea template for the player profiles. Please fill it out and email it back when you get it.
We finished up this past weekend, playing 2 games against the TX Blitz and Pearland Thunder. We will be off until September when get the machine started up again. Although this summer proved to be less than successful as far as our goals go, we definitely improved in the areas of hitting and pitching. This fall, we will be focusing more on exposure tournaments and getting our team "out there". This Summer's final stats are posted, as are career stats and new photos. I will also be emailing each player their player profile for college letters. Enjoy the rest of your summer, be sure to write to the colleges you'd like to attend and we'll see you in about a month.
We will be traveling to Wichita Falls for the ASA Regionals shooting for one of two National bids awarded in the tourney. For those interested and not able to travel with us, we will be posting our scores & notes on Twitter that can be viewed right here on our site. Our schedule is as follows:
Thursday: Practice on Fld 9
Friday: Travel day
Saturday: 8:30am Pool game vs Texas Travelers
12pm Bracket game vs Texas Storm
The Stealth went 3-1-1 this past weekend in the Stars Over Texas College Showcase in Beaumont. The pitching was great, allowing only 3 earned runs in the five games- including a few strong innings from Amanda who is back after a shoulder strain. Defensively, we were stellar at times and not so much at others. We need to be more mentally focused to remain consistent both on the field and at the plate.
In preparation for State, we will be working on infield/outfield and on our hitting this week. I encourage all the girls to get at least 100 proper swings a day at home- just hitting in practice will not get us to the level we need to be. I truly believe that is the only way our hitting will improve.
Top Hitters:
Holly: 5 for 8 with 2 triples
Laura: 4 for 8
Megan: 4 for 9
Christina: 4 for 10 with 1 triple

Last Weekend
The Stealth played 4 games in La Porte last weekend in an 18U tournament against some really good competition. The girls gutted it out to a 2-0-2 record- a very respectable showing. Murphy and Kelly both pitched extremely well allowing only 8 earned runs. Offensively, we executed small ball well and swung the bats decently, but not like we're capable of. Christina led the way with 5 hits on the day, with Jess right behind at 4 hits. You can view the updated stats on our Stats page.
We will be playing in La Porte- same as last year's regionals. Here is Sunday's updated schedule:
9:00 Lady Stros F2
12:40 Lethal Weapon F1
2:30 Lady Jags F1
4:20 Texas Storm F1

Please Note: We will be practicing this Sunday on Field 2 from 3-6PM. Parents, please make every effort to be there.
We will still have practice from 12-3.
Our double header for Sunday is cancelled. We will be meeting at 1pm for media shots and hitting stations. Yes, I know it's very wet. Please wear your purple jerseys and come ready for your photos- which should be done by 1:30. Then we will set up hitting nets for soft toss, tee work, bunting, slapping & magic tricks. Just kidding. See you there.

We will be having our Christmas party at the Collins' home on Friday, Dec 12th. An invitation will be emailed to you with the address and time. Do NOT buy it for anyone specific because it may be stolen by one of your other teammates :) I'll explain that later. Stay in school!
We are wrapping up the fall season by hosting our Turkey Trot & Toys for Tots tournament. It was a great fall- we saw much improvement as a team and individually. I hope everyone enjoys their time off to heal, rest and rekindle the love for the game. As always, it was a joy to work with our girls, parents and coaches. We will be on Field 2 in the outfield for tonight. See you there.
It's nice to finally win one. The girls played great- pitching was phenominal and the hitting finally woke up... big time! Here's the breakdown:
As good as we did we still had passed balls, errors and missed bunt attempts so there's still much work ahead of us. We are however looking more and more like a top quality team. Great job- we'll see you Thursday.
Great practice yesterday- I feel like we are looking more and more like a team. We will practice Thursday as usual and are entered in the Lady Jags "Amp It Up" 16U tournament. Uniform combo & pool schedule will be posted soon. Also I will be taking player snapshots for the website player profiles- so be forewarned. Please bring your Purple Jersey for the shot- you can change afterward.
Pool Schedule:

We will be playing in the Who Let The Dawgs Out tourney- 16U division this weekend. The schedule is:

Please be there an hour before the first game. Coach Gale and Coach Freddy may not be there for the first pool game because of league games. Uniform combinations are located to the right. See you Saturday.
I hope everyone is doing well after the storm. We still have no power and a fence down but everything else is great. I know that not everyone has internet so please let each other know about practice resuming this Thursday- it will actually be nice getting back into the routine. See you then.
A new season-- a new site. Thanks to Butch for the nifty help on the backend- it makes the site flow much better. As you probably noticed, the site is a bit simplified. We decided to remove the pages that were rarely used. We will also be adding pages for our hosted tournaments as well as other events that occur from time to time. We'll see everyone tomorrow at 7:30 for practice on Field 2.
Just a reminder that SLGSA will be helping out with the Sugar Land College Classic later this month. Please make every effort to participate. This will be a great opportunity for us to not only see some great softball, but meet the players and coaches who are at the level you want to play at. Be sure to tell everyone you know about the tournament.
